William Gibson is a typical Hurtwood student, studying 4 GCE AS levels:
Media Studies, Theatre Studies, Art and English. His family home is in
Bahrain, where his father works in the oil industry. He boards at Hurtwood to
provide continuity and enjoy the company of like-minded students.
For his foundation practical project for Media Studies AS level, William
designed from scratch a web-site promoting a school band, Malcolm and the Meatballs.
All the images, graphics and web design have been done by William
using Adobe PhotoShop 6.0, Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 and Adobe ImageReady 3.0.
He used an Epson CZ200 digital camera, a flatbed scanner, a variety of PCs
running on Windows 2000 and put in a lot of hours, learning and designing.
He hopes to move into web and graphic design at university.
